Anime Matsuri Friday (Fashion Show)

Hello! This post is going to be the last of Friday focusing on the fashion show. This year Anime Matsuri was able to bring back Baby, The Stars Shine Bright for an epic fashion show with special guest models Midori Fukasawa and the addition of one of Japan's Cute Ambassadors (Kawaii Taishi) Misako Aoki <3 Also Gothic Lolita Wigs was one of the sponsors so they provided all the wigs the models wore.

We waited in line for the show more than an hour before it started and it started more than hour late with some drama in the lines but it was all so worth it ^^

As a special treat Waveya was dressed in some of Baby's designs for a small dance performance which was a lot of fun and something totally new.

They weren't full on Lolita but they still did a great job and seemed to have fun dancing

 Then the fashion show began

 Then a very exciting thing happened. John asked Midori to come to the center of the stage and exclaimed how a few days before was her birthday. So we all together sang her happy birthday. I really wished I had video taped it. It was such a special moment and her reaction was priceless. She was so cute, endearing, adorable... the list could go on, but you can tell she appreciated it ;^;

We ended up leaving after that since we still planned to come the next day and I was worn out (because I'm an old lady like that). That was my first live fashion show and so happy it was a Lolita one, was such a great experience.

Anime Matsuri (Friday)

This past Easter weekend I finally got to attend our local convention Anime Matsuri. It's been around for a few years and has really grown so much but I really just suck at getting my tickets in advance before the prices skyrocket so I never got the opportunity to go. This year I made sure we got our tickets before hand and even asked for Thursday (we get Good Friday off already) and Monday off just so I could go all out without worrying about work XD

Have to break up my AM posts into 3 parts because there was just so much <3

Friday, Adrian and I got there a little before noon (because I took forever to get ready). We also met Adrian's good friend Adrian and his Wife (+daughter) there. Since the guys wanted to go be guys we split up and went our own way to explore. So much to see and do O^O

Not so Tea Meet

Last month some of the girls in our community (HLC) put together a small meet at a local tea house. I actually made it right on time only to find a few of the girls waiting outside of a closed tea house. After waiting a while someone came to the tea house, looked at us and went inside without asking any questions. Since they had just opened up we decided to give them some time before us bombarding them with questions.

After a little bit of time passed the gentleman came outside and asked what we were waiting for. A little confused one of the girls told him we were waiting for an appointment we had made online. He said he had just spoke to his wife (who was at home ill) and she wasn't aware of any appointments. Long story short they don't check the website they created even thought they have a place you click to schedule appointments so we were left to change our plans right then and there >.<

I think it worked out better (at least my husband thinks so since he's not one for tea and small sandwiches) since we ended up going to a Japanese restaurant up the road.

It was a nice time and I was able to talk to some of the girls I have been secretly (i guess not a secret anymore. hoho) stalking. lol

After we all went our separate ways and headed home.

It was a really great time and everyone I met was awesome <3

I would do something more with my hair since it looks crazy but practice makes perfect ^-^

Outfit Post #38 & #39

Just a quick post this time. Here are a couple of outfits I wore last month (still catching up ><)

 

Wore this one for some errands. It was a kinda chilly day so I decided to make my outfit more spring-y. Surprisingly we still haven't gotten our complete spring weather yet. 

It hasn't made it up it's mind (hot, cold, windy, rainy!!! Darn You!)

I really enjoy getting all dressed up although at the same time I should probably try to do it more. It takes me forever now so maybe if I do it more I can cut down the time it takes me. Especially my hair grrrr. It takes forever to style. Might just cut a few inches off and see if that helps. Hmmmm... More to think about. lol

Casino Night

Last month one of my good friends Maria celebrated her birthday. She wasn't really sure what she wanted to do but one idea she had was maybe having a casino night. I love a great theme so I went ahead and made bow ties / hair bows out of playing cards to fit the theme. I made extras for everyone because I always think being in theme makes any party a little better (though some of the guys weren't too happy) ;P

We had such a great time and the food we had at dinner was amazing <3
